The Sea to Sky Cam – Tech Line, is a revolution in rope technology. Specially formulated to have the properties of a steel cable without the shipping weight or the high loads required to keep it tight. This 1/4 inch / 6 millimetre low stretch synthetic rope will not stretch out over time and once tensioned will remain tight for days unlike the industry standard Amsteel Blue. 4 times lighter than cable, our tech line requires far less load to get it tight and will significantly reduce your anchor loads. Offering similar strength as steel cable and Amsteel Blue, our tech line has a breaking strength of over 6000 pounds / 2700 kilograms but with a higher melting point, enabling our tech line to last longer running over tight sheaves while under tension. Additional to this it has a tight sheath, protecting it from abrasion and dirt and enables the rope to remain round. Amsteel Blue becomes square under tension and steel cable has large strands, both causing instability for the trolley and camera.
